Full House for Sharon G

Wow, ask and you shall receive, thanks to all.  We now have 8 for next Saturday what fun.  Once Sharon and I pow wow I'll have some dates for her next visit to the shop.  If your interested let me know and I'll put you on the "to call" list.   May not be until fall with ANG Seminar happening and the Columbus trade show.  We've talked about doing Graphic Wave as a project based class so this is a possibility as an alternative to canvas embellishment.  Here's some pictures from Miriam's hand, never taken a class with Sharon so its a testament to just how good Sharon's stitch guides are.  Fish out of Water, Moonshine, and the now infamous Horses' Asses.  I think you can click on these to make them larger incase you suspect a resemblance to your ex in the last one. Miriam has stitched these all (and others too) in 2012,

Saturday May 5th class with Sharon G.

There's two seats left for an all day canvas embellishment class with Sharon G this Saturday May 5th.  $75. for the day.   Bring your own canvas or purchase something new for 20%  (canvases are rolling out onto the sidewalk now that the orders from Phoenix have arrived).    The Nimble Needle is 2 hours from NYC and Baltimore and easily accessible by public transportation from Philadelphia.  Class size is limited to 8.  And I now have several of the table top frames by Needlework System 4 available to purchase so you can be comfortable and efficient too.  Can't say enough good things about this stand.

Extraordinary Embroidery and Fashion

So I learn about this when its in Berlin?  Taken from a collection belonging to the Los Angeles County Museum.  Lucky to all those on the west coast who have had a chance to see these in person.  Many of the gowns are gorgeous and to think the designers didn't have to go to college for fashion to create these works of art.

New Birds of a Feather Canvases in the Web Store

A bunch of great new Birds of a Feather Canvases in the web store today. Thumbelina is one we sold during our BOF Trunk Show, and we have another in stock now. The Peace House sampler is a great take on a traditional cross stitch sampler in Needlepoint. The Singing Bird Sampler has a that similar home craft feel, as well does the Counting Magpie Needle Case. The latter a great stitcher's accessory - keep your needles and scissors organized in your traveling project bag. And a couple of small 13 count canvases, the Owls and the Quiet Mouse. Enjoy and click on the images to visit the web store to see them.  A few more pics on the needle case added.

New from some less familar faces

These canvases have just arrived from the January show. The tile rabbit, Talavera sun, and dragon are all from Creative Needle.  The Sun at $49.00(6"dia.) and Dragon $139.00 (10" x 13") are on 18 count.   Orchid and Hibiscus each at $210.00 each are from the artist Georg James; both 13" x 13" and on 13 count canvas.  These are perfectly painted for those who prefer basketweave stitching. As always click on the pictures to go to see them in the Webstore.

New Finished Items

Congratulations Nancy for a stunning job on the Sassy Stockings.

Eazier Livin-Walker Saddlebag

This caught my eye in todays weekly email from a distributor.  Gosh, what to say!  Makes me laugh and then I think wow how sad is this.  To think when we can't take many personal belongings with us to the old folks home we can just make endless walker saddlebags.  At least it doesn't look like a stretch for finishers.  And just think ready to wear "Cruise Collection" doesn't just apply to fashion anymore.

Keep Calm and Love Tattoo from UniqueNZ, canvases with stitch guides from Eye Candy, Peace sampler from Birds of a Feather and lovely pink geraniums from Mary Lake Thompson. With the exception of Eye Candy all pieces are Eye friendly on 13 count.
